Anxiety is something that we all experience at times in our lives, and is very much a necessary part of our make up – it can keep us safe and alive, yet it can also be the most crippling and debilitating of life experiences.

 

When looking at combatting and learning to manage anxiety, some people find what works for them and anxiety does not really become a factor of their lives. 

For others however, anxiety can be life-changing, life-capturing and life-swallowing.  Over the years it has been described as many things – ‘suffering with nerves’, ‘always a worrier’ and many other medical and non-medical descriptions of what anxiety is.  But one thing remains – anxiety has been present for as long as humans have walked the earth. 
The purpose of this website is to explore what anxiety is, what causes it and some realistic options on how to understand and manage an individual’s anxiety.
